Home of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park, Skagway is overflowing with vibrant history. The beautiful downtown area is flush with historic buildings, old-fashioned storefronts, and wooden sidewalks that make visitors feel as if they’ve taken a step back in time. If you’re in search of some fresh air, Skagway hosts an extensive trail system just a few blocks from downtown. Head out into the wild for a day hike and see alpine lakes and waterfalls, or take a train to the top of nearby White Pass.
