Supv, Luggage Handler (seasonal) — Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge (Trapper Creek, AK)

As a Luggage Handler Supervisor, your primary job responsibilities would include supervising a team of up to 14 porters, training all team members on all aspects of their jobs, evaluating porters’ performances according to established parameters and coaching them on their performances, collecting and delivering all luggage to and from guestrooms upon departures and arrivals. Loading and Unloading motor coaches and freight trucks, driving a truck or jeep pulling storage carts around property, cleaning guest rooms when needed, participating in Hit Squad training for bio clean up, assisting in general property clean up task, assisting in the opening and shutdown of the property by cleaning guest rooms and team housing rooms, completing damaged/missing luggage forms with guests and the Guest Services Desk, assisting in locating the misplaces luggage with other properties, performing scheduled and unscheduled safety checks, making decision regarding overtime and scheduling and anything else asked of you by your  manager. The requirements for this position include: a passing driving record, being on your feet for an entire shift, at least 18 years old, working safely with chemicals, morning and evening shifts and the ability to lift and transport 50+ pounds. Previous experience with luggage and leadership with bigger teams preferred. 6:30am- 11:30pm.
