During the summer months from May to September, the guests are mostly tourists. From October to April, the clients are mostly business travelers. Fairbanks is Alaska’s largest interior city and offers all the urban amenities of a mid-sized city. Some of the highlights include the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline and the University of Alaska at Fairbanks Museum (which houses some of the finest displays depicting Alaska’s history in the state). This community on the banks of the Chena River is known for friendly people and extreme temperatures ranging from 40 degrees below zero in the winter to 80 degree temperatures in the summer. Fairbanks also boasts world-class Northern Lights viewing, the Winter Solstice on December 21st when the sun is below the horizon for over 21 hours, and the Summer Solstice on June 21st when the sun is above the horizon for over 21 hours. Outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking & camping are all only minutes away.
