Wages
Princess Cruises and Holland America Line offer competitive wages for summer jobs in Alaska and Seattle. Wages vary depending on your position, level of experience, and additional qualifications. Additionally, an Incentive Program may be available depending on your work location, the type of work you do and your commitment to work a specified period.

Our Season
The Alaska and Canada seasons run from early May through late September. Training programs may be scheduled prior to May. The preferred applicant would be one who can commit to work the entire season.

Leisure Travel Discounts
Upon successful completion of the terms of the employment agreement, an attractive discounted travel program may be available including cruises with Princess Cruises, Holland America Line and Seabourn.

Reward for Referral
New and returning employees have an opportunity to earn a cash bonus for recruiting potential employees to Princess Cruises and Holland America Line- Alaska. Both the referring employee and the prospective referral need to complete their entire contract for the bonus to be paid out after the end of the season. Furthermore, the prospective (referred) employee MUST put the name of the person that referred them on their application and employment agreement for that person to be eligible.

Housing
Limited dormitory style employee housing is available at a reasonable cost at the following locations:

Room charges are based on double occupancy. Discount meal programs and laundry facilities are available on-site at most locations. Other locations may be able to assist in locating accommodations.

R.V. Sites
Several locations offer full hook-ups for recreational vehicles including:

  • Kenai Princess Wilderness Lodge
  • Ketchikan Transportation and Guest Services
  • Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge
  • Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge*
  • Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge
  • Skagway Transportation and Guest Services

Activities
During your leisure time, a multitude of outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, river rafting, horseback riding and more are easily accessible. Local sightseeing excursions are often offered at a discounted price to Princess Cruises and Holland America Line- Alaska employees. Locations such as Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Ketchikan, Seattle, Seward, and Vancouver offer typical city amenities such as movie theaters, shopping centers, and other urban venues.
